We strive to make mental health care as accessible and transparent as possible. Below you'll find information about insurance coverage, self-pay options, and what to expect when working with Dr. Anna.

Sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA compliant Zoom platform to protect your privacy and make care convenient, wherever you're located.

Yes, telehealth therapy can be highly effective. Based on years of clinical experience providing both in-person and telehealth care, along with current research, teletherapy offers some unique advantages. For clients managing anxiety or OCD, meeting from your everyday environment can actually strengthen the therapeutic process, since it allows us to address concerns as they naturally show up in daily life and opens the door to real-time exposure work that's difficult to replicate in a traditional office.

Step 1: Check Your Out-of-Network Benefits
Call the member services number on your insurance card and ask whether you have out-of-network mental health benefits, what your deductible is and how much has been met, what percentage is reimbursed for CPT codes 90791 (initial session) and 90837 (therapy session), whether telehealth is covered, and where to submit superbills or claims. It helps to write down the representative's name and reference number for your records.
Step 2: Receive a Monthly Superbill
After each session, or upon request, you'll receive a superbill, an itemized receipt with Dr. Anna's credentials, service dates, CPT and ICD-10 codes, and fees. You can upload or email this directly to your insurance company.
Step 3: Submit Your Claim
You can upload your superbill through your insurance portal, or use an app like Reimbursify, Mentaya, or Better to file and track claims for you. Most clients receive reimbursement within two to six weeks.
Step 4: Understand Your Potential Savings
If sessions are $250 and your plan reimburses 70 percent after your deductible, you'd pay only $75 per session out of pocket. Many clients find therapy more affordable once benefits are applied.
Step 5: Use FSA or HSA Funds
Therapy is an eligible medical expense, so FSA or HSA cards can be used for payment while you wait for reimbursement.
Why it's worth it: Investing in specialized care for OCD, anxiety, PTSD, and related conditions offers long-term benefits. Mindfully Balanced NJ provides evidence based treatments, including ERP, CBT, and mindfulness, designed for lasting change. Because Dr. Anna is out-of-network, treatment is guided entirely by your individual needs and progress rather than insurance timelines or session limits.
If you have questions about superbills or out-of-network reimbursement, reach out and we'll gladly walk you through the process step by step.

Dr. Anna is an out-of-network provider, which means sessions aren't billed directly to insurance. Many clients receive partial reimbursement by submitting a superbill, a detailed invoice provided after each session, to their insurance company. Reimbursement depends on your specific plan and out-of-network benefits, so it's worth contacting your insurer to find out what's covered. You'll have all the documentation you need to support a reimbursement claim.

Therapy isn't one size fits all. Treatment length depends on the nature of your concerns, your goals, your level of engagement, and any co-occurring issues. Sessions typically start weekly to build momentum, then gradually space out to biweekly and monthly as progress is made. From the start, we'll collaborate on clear, achievable goals and check in on progress regularly, so treatment moves as efficiently and meaningfully as possible.

The standard fee is $275 for a 45-minute individual therapy session. If an additional session during the week would be beneficial, 30-minute sessions are available at $185. Reach out anytime with questions about payment, billing, or reimbursement documentation.
-
The first session, often called an intake, is a little different from ongoing therapy. It runs 60 minutes and is billed at $360. During this time, Dr. Anna will ask about your symptoms, concerns, personal history, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. This session lays the foundation for a strong therapeutic relationship and a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. Bring any questions you have. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
